Is the calculator result a quote?
No. It is a planning estimate built from editable planning constants. It cannot see your slab layout, your cabinet condition or the specific quartz you choose, all of which move the real number. Use it to set expectations, then request a project-specific estimate.
Why is the range so wide?
Because the variables inside each tier are wide. Two kitchens with identical square footage can differ by thousands depending on quartz collection, slab utilization, edge treatment and how much removal and preparation is involved.
How do I measure square footage for the calculator?
Measure each countertop run in inches: length times depth, divided by 144, gives square feet for that run. Add the runs together. Twenty-five inches is a typical perimeter depth with the overhang included. Our measurement guide walks through it with examples.
Does the estimate include removing my old countertops?
Only if you set removal to Yes. Removal is applied as a per-square-foot planning allowance because laminate, tile and stone all come out differently.
Do cutouts really change the price?
They are real fabrication work, so they are represented as planning allowances here. How a given estimate itemizes cutouts varies, so ask what is included in any figure you receive.
